• Natalie Shay KS2 Visit

  This week we were so excited to welcome the amazing Natalie Shay to Goffs Oak Primary. She is a wonderful singer, songwriter and guitar player who creates beautiful music linked to positive well-being. The children were able to listen to her story overcoming her difficulties and ask her questions about her music and life. It was a really lovely event. Thank you to the Friends of Goffs Oak for funding this event. 

  

• Year 4 Trip

  This week Year 4 went on a trip to the Roman Baths at Welywn Garden as part of their learning on Romans.

  The children had an opportunity to see a real Roman Bath. They learnt all about how the baths were used. Later they handled some Roman things. The children also had the opportunity to make their own Roman pots, play some Roman games and weave.

  

• Year 6 parent lesson

  On Wednesday 12th October, the Year 6 parents were invited to take part in a guided reading lesson. The children enjoyed discussing their understanding of the book Private Peaceful and completing an activity on expanded noun phrases.
