Across the Line - West End Show!

On Sunday 3rd March two of our amazing Year 4 children performed on the West End stage with their drama school. Lewis and Evelyn attend the Pauline Quirke Academy and performed a bespoke show called 'Across the Line.' What a marvellous achievement! See if you can spot them in the group photo!

Stargardts Connected Sunglasses Fundraising Walk

On Saturday 13th April, the Mayor of Broxbourne, Cllr Paul Seeby, led a walk to help raise awareness of Stargardt’s and raise vital funds for the charity.
One of our previous pupils, Ethan Tailor, was diagnosed with this condition when he was 7 years old.  It is an inherited, degenerative retinal eye condition and there is no current treatment or cure.  In addition to sight loss photophobia, sensitivity to light, is caused and therefore it is recommended for those affected to wear sunglasses.

Myself and Mrs Marcangelo, along with a group of pupils and families from school, went along to support the event.  It was heartwarming to see the children engaging with the community along the way and throughout Cedars Park where the walk ended.  Their enthusiasm towards raising funds was immeasurable and it was delightful to see them work so hard for the cause.  They raised £200.00 on the day which is absolutely marvellous.

Well done to everyone who took part, we are so proud of you!  Mrs Kaal    👏👏👏😎😎😎🤩🤩🤩

Ronny - Year 6

We were delighted to receive and email naming one of our Year 6 pupils as having gone the extra mile at a community event. Ronny participated in a litter pick in which he helped for 2 hours - despite the cold and miserable weather. The email stated how Ronny is a credit to the school as he was extremely helpful and polite. We are always proud of our children but even more so when their efforts are noticed by the wider community. Well done Ronny.
