Role(s):
Chair of Full Governing Body
Appointed by the Governing Body in September 2013
Bio:
I have been a School Governor for over six years. I previously served on the Governing Body for Northaw C of E Primary before joining this school's Governors in 2013. I gladly became Chair in April 2016 and am proud to work with such a committed group of staff and volunteers. Initially, I became a Governor to give something back to the community and more recently I am driven to help to ensure that our children and the staff at Goffs Oak strive towards our mission to provide all children with the opportunity to achieve their potential academically, socially and physically in a caring and well-ordered environment where each child can thrive and develop a sense of responsibility and worth.

I strongly support the school’s values and its aims to improve educational standards and achievement for pupils in its care so that they have the best start in life.

JOANNE HOLLAND
Category: Co-Opted Governor
Role(s):Finance & Premises Committee
Appointed by the Governing Body
Bio:
I was appointed a parent governor in October 2020. I have twin girls who are in Year 5 and I work full time for an accountancy firm in the City.
I wanted to join the governing body to learn more about how the school is run and make a positive contribution given the important role that the school will have over the next 3 years in my girls development. I believe as parents we should support the school but where necessary we should question and challenge the decisions being made.
I look forward to working with the rest of the governors to assist the school to provide a secure and stimulating environment in which all pupils can develop themselves to their maximum potential academically, emotionally, physically and socially.

TOM LILLEY
Category: Co-opted Governor
Roles: Standards & Curriculum Committee
Appointed by the Governing Body in June 2022
Bio
I'm been the vicar of St James church in Goffs Oak since 2021, as well as being a father of 3 girls. Prior ordination I was a secondary school teacher, and before I came to Goffs Oak I was the chaplain to a large state secondary school in Greater Manchester and a key part of that role was supporting the wellbeing of both students and staff. I believe that a good, well-rounded education can make such a difference in a child's life, and as a governor I hope to be able to support the school leadership team in supporting each and every child's needs.
