In Reception, we build upon the foundations established in Nursery, continuing to provide a happy, nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive. Our curriculum is planned around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework and Development Matters and is enriched through Dimensions – Learning Means the World. Through a carefully balanced combination of purposeful play, exploration and adult-led learning, children develop their knowledge and skills across all areas of learning. We encourage children to become increasingly confident, curious and independent, while ensuring they develop the strong foundations they need to make a successful transition into Year 1 and the next stage of their learning journey.
